BAT ISLANDS
The Bat Islands Archipelago, located off the Santa Elena Peninsula, is one of the most iconic diving destinations in Costa Rica. Formed by five main islands and more than ten smaller islets, this protected marine area is part of Santa Rosa National Park, ensuring pristine conditions and exceptional marine biodiversity.
Diving at San Pedrillo Island
San Pedrillo Island is world-renowned for its rich marine life and big-animal encounters. These waters are known for sightings of bull sharks, giant rays, marlins, and occasionally whale sharks, making this an unforgettable experience for advanced and adventurous divers.
Tour Schedule & Experience
The day begins with a 6:00 am meeting at our dive center, where all diving equipment is carefully checked. From there, we head to the beach to board our comfortable catamaran.
The journey to the Bat Islands takes approximately 2.30 hours, leading us to the first dive site of the day.
After the first dive, you’ll relax on board while navigating to the second location. During this surface interval, fresh fruit, sodas, and soft drinks are provided. Following the second dive, a light lunch will be served on the catamaran.
In the afternoon, we proceed to the third and final dive site, completing a total of three tank dives. After the last dive, we return to Tamarindo, arriving between 4:00 and 5:00 pm.
